Rimmel London Colour Rush Balm

I got given this as a gift for my birthday, I don't tend to by lip gloss products as I don't tend to wear them. However as this was a birthday gift I thought I would use it and I was surprised. The product glides along your lips really well and feels super moisturized, however after about half an hour and a glass of coke later it was pretty much non existent and left me with a little line of colour on my bottom lip with I didn't really appreciate. The colour however for the half an hour was lovely and suited my skin tone. With the colour really suiting me I would continue using this product but add powder over the top to make it set. If this doesn't work then I may only use it if I want a moisturizer for my lips.  Overall if this wasn't a gift I wouldn't of brought it.

BEAUTY UK ULTIMATE CONTOUR PALETTE

I picked up this little beauty about 6 months ago and I cannot go back on it now. This is one of the best contour palettes that I have picked up. At around £5 this was a complete bargain, the three shades for contouring are the perfect shades for me. I use the bronzing and contour colour together to create definition on my cheekbones and nose and use the highlighter on my T zone areas. The creamy texture makes it easier to apply and blend. By adding powder and a bronzer you can get the chisel cheekbones that are desired. As you can see from the picture I have used this palette a lot and need to purchase another. I would recommend this product to anyone who is on a budget and wants to create definition.

WHIPPED CREME

This was one of the first foundations I have ever brought. I can always find the colour I need in this foundation as its such a good match with my skin tone. It feels hydrating on my skin and is very easy to apply. I know many people who use this foundation and says it leaves them with a matte finish and looking very fresh, however it just doesn't work for me. I have very dry skin between my eyebrows and around my nose, the foundations leaves this part of my skin very flaky and uneven. I was very disappointed as I find this never sets on my skin and always looks very dewy. I have changed my make up brushes and technique, as well as powders to make this foundation work. But at £10 I just wouldn't purchase this product again, until my skin is hydrated and even. If you're looking for an alternative the Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation worked very well for me.

HAVE YOU GOT BABY SKIN LIKE ME?

I brought this product about 6 months ago and never used it. At £8 its slightly pricey, however I think it is worth it. I have used many products to help my skin when applying my foundation and this is one of the best matte finished products. This product makes my face feeling so soft and makes my foundation look flawless. To use you only need to take a small amount of the gel like substance and use it in the concentrated areas. I always wait 5 minutes before applying my foundation as I like to let it set before I got ahead and lay a layer of foundation over the top of it. This is one product that I have ran out off as you don't get alot within the small bottle. For the price I would hope for more in the bottle as the far as the product goes this is one that has really worked for me.

ARE YOU A LIPSTICK LOVER?

Are you a lipstick lover just like me? I love to buy lipsticks, my favorite collection is the Kate Moss Black and Red lipsticks. Around £5 for a matte pigment lipstick is perfect for me.   I believe lipsticks can make and break and outfit. I like to wear dark reds on a night out as I want to be bold and stand out, the only downside to a red lipstick is getting everywhere. Whether its on your dress, teeth or cup it never stays on my lips. I like to wear Pink and Nude shades with my every day to day outfits. I seem to always wear pink to work. I am not very daring when it comes to the purple shade, I just don't feel my skin type can pull off a dark bold look.

REVLON PHOTO READY FACE ILLUMINATOR

I purchased Revlon's photoready product, just out of curiosity. I had heard many things about this make up product and I wasn't sure if it was going to work for me. However non the less I picked this product up for around £12. This is one of the priciest random buys I have brought, however I don't think it was worth it. I wanted to use the product to even out my dull-skin, particularly under my eyes, cheekbones and under my eyebrows. I have tried this product both with and without foundation and I believe you get the best results wearing it on its own. I found it particularly made a difference when applying it to my cheekbones as I contour my face. This product is a great product to see if it works for you, however I would not buy this again as I don't use it very often.

THE NUDES BY MAYBELLINE

At £9.99, This eye shadow palette by Maybelline is my go to palette. It is made up of 12 different shades of nudes, browns and one black. The colours have great pigmentation and texture, it is very similar to a more premium brand such as Urban Decay but just half the price. What I use for the base of my eyelids is the 3rd one from the top, which I like to call "Basic Beige". This is a very flat texture and basic colour, which is why I use this for the base. I then take the 1st colour on the bottom row and place that in the creases of my eyelids and blend inwards, this just adds definition. However the colour looks very dark in the palette however on my eyes I can hardly see it and is very subtle. I am very much into my glitter and golds so I use the 3rd eye shadow on the bottom row I call this "Glittery Gold" This eye shadow is lovely to place in the middle of the eyelid. To finish of the look I use the 1st eye shadow on the top row and place it in the corner of my eyes. The colour is a pigment white and makes me eyes look bigger.

I would recommend this palette as I use it most days and has every colour I need. For the price this is worth it and I am already on my way to buying a new one.

ESTEE LAUDER - DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATION

Welcome to my Blog, you seem to have stumbled across my page.

For my first ever blog post I wanted to review the Estee Lauder Double wear foundation, this product is one of my favorite foundations that I have used in a long time. The foundation itself cost around £30 which is on the high end of my budget, as I normally spend under £10 for a foundation. However I was willing to pay for the product as I found foundations really hard to find, that work for me and look flawless. So I decided to test a sample of many shades as i find it very difficult to match my skin tone. I am very pale but i like to have one shade darker than my skin tone. When applying the foundation I use a foundation brush and finish of with a beauty blender. The foundation left my skin looking flawless, smooth and it smelt lovely. I usually have an issue with foundations leaving my skin looking flaky especially around my eyebrows and the top of my nose. However after applying a cheap moisturizer at night the foundation is now applying smoother. I would recommend this foundations as it is the best one I have brought.
